CDC in a quandry: Asthma up, but air pollution, smoking down

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported today that the prevalence and number of persons with asthma have increased since 2001 despite improvements in outdoor air quality, and decreases in cigarette smoking and secondhand smoke exposure.

It is of course entirely possible, if not likely, that asthma is not really up so much as it’s being more frequently reported, often erroneously. So buck up, CDC, maybe the politically incorrect can still be blamed.

Report: Climate aid recipients score high in corruption

Transparency International reports that,

None of the 20 countries deemed most vulnerable to climate change score more than 3.6 on TI’s Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) indicating significant risks of corruption.

At the 2009 Copenhagen climate conference, President Obama promised that the U.S. would contribute to a $100 billion fund for developing nations threatened by climate change.

Paul Driessen on Oregon Dems’ attack on skeptic’s kids

Political Payback – Oregon Style
Paul Driessen

Confused visitors will be forgiven for thinking Oregon State University is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Congressman Pete DeFazio and the “progressive-socialist” wing of the Democratic Party.
