so, to avoid a lot of red line critiques from Italian literati, I correct myself after looking at that pathetic attempt to quote Caesar,
Gallia est omnis divisa in partes tres, is the proper quote.
I knew it didn’t look right when I read it after hitting send. Don’t want to insult the Romans, they remember.

He is damn funny and interesting in person too. Former college wrestler, no nonsense, international consultancy in weather, advises insurance companies, for example.
very cool guy. besides, what’s not to like about an Italian–us irish marry them all the time to make for good food and good times.
and of course if you like opera–verdi is the best. And one time I was on the podium with a physical chemist from Claremont talking about air pollution, because he had been on the Cal advisory committee and regretted going along with designating diesel a carcinogen. He was there to discuss his mistake, like a real man. I made the mistake of declaring my admiration of the Italians for their cultural achievements and making a little fun of Italian military prowess–short sited of me, Fucalaro mentioned some guy named Caesar to someone who can rememberthe first day of latin class–“Gaulia is divisa in partes tres” so point Fucolaro. My historical lens was too near sighted.
