Accuweather.com reports:
A U.S. study is under way to evaluate several possible ways to limit climate change including solar radiation management and carbon dioxide removal.
The study will primarily be an analysis of peer-reviewed literature, and will not involve any substantial new research, experimentation, or development of new geoengineering technology, spokeswoman Lauren Rugani of the National Academy of Sciences said.
Solar radiation management? The sun got a rheostat we can control?
Howdy NicG
Pretty much my own thinking. It’s an interesting idea to study — at a low level and a moderate cost, preferably with private-sector funding by those who want to explore it. It’s a poor area for government resources.
Even if we had the means — and let’s hope we never do — what kind of negotiation would go into setting the global thermostat, bearing in mind that families have trouble setting the home thermostat?
More BS about preventing climate change. Climate change happens and everything else adapts around it, cos there’s nothing we can do about it. Build a bridge and get over it!
Cheers.
NicG.
So the NAS is paying some slub to read and then write a book report? Another huge misuse of taxpayers wealth.
