Imports drive up UK carbon emissions

Keep the imports. Deport the greens.

“Imports now account for almost 45% of all consumption emissions, compared with about 30% of the CO2 footprint in 1993. Meanwhile, emissions from UK-produced goods and services decreased by around 12% between 1993 and 2010 and now account for 35% of the total CO2 footprint in 2010.” [The Guardian]

  1. What I get from this is there are fewer jobs for more people who are driving older cars because they can’t afford newer cars.
