  1. I’m pretty sure that was what MT was poking fun over… The fact that even though it is normal to hit not only Higher than normal highs, but Lower than lows, and the Watermellons still sing out about the highs, while remaining exasperating quiet regarding the below normal lows.

  2. Our local TV weatherman used to chortle every day on the forecast; “And that’s quite a bit above seasonal for this time of year.” I never heard “And that quite a bit below season for this time of year.” even if it was.

  3. Yes. Al should take credit for people freezing to death.
His policies and carbon trades have caused the temperatures to drop significantly. He has “solved” global warming.

  4. MT, you and I agree, and this is not intended to be critical or snarky, but temperatures variations (daily, seasonal, annual, etc.) follow probability distributions with means, standard deviations and so forth. There really is no such thing as a “normal” temperature, merely temperatures that fall within a given probability range. Fraudulent climate alarmists (we know who they are) use phrases like “above normal” to imply that we are experiencing abnormal weather to instill worry and fear in their low-information followers. Again, I’m with you and not being critical, just venting about language often used by the disingenuous to which I take exception.

  5. Only one thing can is highly correlated with unusually cold weather. Al Gore killed these Russians.

  6. Our friends the warmists pay lip service to the idea that events aren’t climate, but of course they also trumpet any temperatures above normal. So it’s fun to see them try to ignore events with temps below normal. Russia’s winter is markedly colder than normal this year but most of North America has had a very mild winter so far. Apparently events AREN’T climate.

  7. “Dozens” of people? Is that all? Those German chaps trapped around Stalingrad would be laughing. But what’s this got to do with global warming,, I ask?

  8. ““Russia is enduring its harshest winter in over 70 years”

OMG. What was 70 years ago?

    Stalingrad, Massengrab
