The Tulsa World reports:
At his Monday speech to the Tulsa Regional Chamber of Commerce, U.S. Sen. Tom Coburn offered some details on his previous statements that it’s time for a national constitutional convention…
“I am a global warming denier. I don’t deny that.”
The climate is changing, and has been as long as there has been a climate, he said
As a physician and a man of science, Coburn said he thinks the evidence points that the Earth is moving into a “mini-ice age.”
Any plebe can look at an X-Y plot and not see warming. It takes years of specialized education, internship, publication, and grant applications to learn to see the truth. Especially the grant applications.
If I were snotty, I’d say because “warmer scientist” was an oxymoron. But I’m not snotty.
A doctor can read an X-Y plot of temperature over time and see no warming for past 15 years. Why can’t warmer scientists?
“No! I AM SPARTACUS!!”
In terms of claiming that “deniers” are anti-science, it pays to recall that Senators Coburn and Paul are both physicians. Hardly anti-science.
