Christie Todd Whitman joined today with other RINO ex-EPA chiefs in a New York Times op-ed urging the GOP to go warmist. But who would listen to the airhead?
As I reported in my FOXNews.com column of January 5, 2001 (see below):
After being nominated [to be EPA administrator], [Christie Todd] Whitman was asked: “Global warming, what is your thought on what the state of science is and what can be done to address it?” She responded: “Still somewhat uncertain. Clearly there’s a hole in the ozone, that has been identified. But I saw a study the other day that showed that it was closing. It’s not as clear, the cause and effect, as we would like it to be.”
The only actual thought here is “How can I get people to like me?” That is the goal of most politicians–and if it means selling out to a cause you once denounce, what the heck. At least the Dems will love her and love is all that matters.
Being a typical R, she looked at her menu of problems and solutions and picked what looked like the biggest of both and concluded that something – everything – must be done. That is all the thought that occurred.
Those who can, do. Those who can’t do, teach. Those who can’t teach, administrate. Those who can’t administrate run for public office.
The only qualification is being a politician. Politicians are not required to know anything beyond getting elected.
