The CDC reports:

After heat waves during the summers of 2008–2011, the Department of Health reviewed medical examiner records for 48 hyperthermia deaths…

Among the 26 deaths reviewed that had information about the presence of home air conditioning, none of the decedents had a working air conditioner.

    1. Adaptation is necessary — heat like this occurs even during Ice Ages.
    2. Cheap energy is a grace to the poor especially.
