Joe Romm whines that Canada has left the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) is Canada, “home of the Dust-Bowl-accelerating tar sands.”

  1. Please don’t call it “tar sands”. This is a negative term used by the enviro terrorists to denigrate the oil sands. It is oil embedded in sand and I believe that tar is derived from coal, but the oil sands are definitely not tar.

  2. Tarnation — which would make a good nickname for Canada just now — this enviro doesn’t seem to realize that desertification has no links to temps or CO2, odd as that seems.
