Bill Charmley, the career EPA official who helped sabotaged the Trump EPA rollback of the glider truck rule, is mounting a new effort to sabotage the Trump EPA fuel economy rollback.
Charmley, who has been trying to sabotage the fuel economy rollback since it was proposed, now claims that the Trump EPA chief Wheeler ignored the comments of EPA Resistance staff. As reported by the Washington Post:
Of course, no law requires the EPA administrator to heed the ravings of EPA staff. Nevertheless, Charmley and other EPA Resistance knows he can use the Fake News media to cause political problems for the Trump EPA.
And you can bet that the EPA Resistance included much other sabotage in the thousands of pages regulatory documents for the rulemaking.
JunkScience got Charmley’s boss removed from his position for the glider rule sabotage. Charmley should have been punished as well. More generally, Congress should rewrite the civil service protection laws to make it possible to fire Deep State saboteur creeps like Charmley.
