No NYTimes, Arctic ice is not ‘vanishing’

Here’s the fake news headline:

Here’s the reality:

According to NOAA, Northern Hemisphere sea ice has declined somewhat since 1980, but it certainly is not “vanishing”:

And when you consider that NOAA has a pre-1980 sea ice record, you might reasonably wonder what all the fuss us about.

That’s why the NYTimes is called “fake news.”

  1. New Trade routes mean the ice is disappearing? I guess it has nothing to do with the Nuclear powered icebreakers or the massive fleet of advanced ships designed for icy seas. Crossing the Rockies during the winter use to be impossible before tunnels and the interstate. Driving to Vail in January is obliouusly proof of climate change.

  2. The report was publicized yesterday about dragon ice in Antarctica. Buried in the report was the little tidbit that this ice creation due to high winds results in higher salt content in the water beneath making it extremely cold and dense. The result is that it descends into the ocean basins and starts the “pump” of the ocean circulations — might be part of the cooling.

I’m waiting for the climate theologians to explain that man-made CO2 is causing this increase in windiness in Antarctica — but then, man-made CO2 would be responsible for the recent cooling.

  3. The next headline will claim that all this melting sea-ice has raised the ocean levels.
The fact that ice has more volume that water is not important to fake news distributors.

  4. Isn’t this the esteemed publication that predicted Hillary had a 95% chance to win the Presidency in 2016?

Lots of scientific polls to prove it and all they got was mud on their faces.

  5. Northern Atlantic Storm Shows How Natural Causes Affect Arctic Sea Ice

A few years ago the climate alarmists were going hysterical about the sudden loss of Arctic Sea Ice. Alarmist claims of an ice free North Pole dominated the headlines.

It’s been a little over four years since an “Arctic expert” claimed the North Pole would be ice-free by the summer of 2016.

    That never happened.
When I dug further into the issue, I discovered that an Arctic Hurricane was responsible for the sudden loss of ice. I didn’t even know Hurricanes occurred that far north and the media did nothing to inform me of the event.

  6. It gets worse…. much worse.

NASA admits that the snow buildup on Antarctica is more than offsetting the ice loss in the western peninsula. The continent has also been COOLING since 1998 !

There’s fake news, and there’s activist newspapers which LIE.
