The worst danger posed by electric cars is to first responders in the event of an accident. The batteries are toxic and require special training to render them safe.
Tesla isn’t so much a automobile manufacturer as a Ponzi scheme that sells laptop batteries in various items. He collects deposits to “complete” development of a product. He real talent lays in collecting taxpayer subsidies, 4.9 billion and counting.
I think most governments know EVs won’t help much but it makes it look like they’re doing something and it distracts people for the time being.
