5 years ago, my wife and I took one of those walking tours to the Franz Josef glacier face. And noted that the terminal moraine left by the retreating glacier is kilometers long. The car park is where the face was in the 1940’s, and apparently, the first European explorers saw the glacier face almost to the sea! So it was all those Victorian SUV’s that caused the retreat?
And the point of this comment is…………..
