Enviros sweat their meaningless triumph over hapless TransCanada.
The League of Conservation Voters writes in the NYTimes:
Point 1. The oil sands will still be developed, as oil prices allow.
Point 2. Other pipelines, including the recently green-lighted Alberta Clipper, will bring the oil into the US.
Point 3. Oil sands crude that isn’t pipelined in will be brought in by rail.
Point 4. The Obama admin is supporting a huge oil pipeline in Kenya.
Point 5. There are 2,440 new coal plants in planning around the world.
Point 6. There is an endless supply of cheap oil.
Point 7. There is no evidence that coming increases in CO2 are dangerous.
