The so-called “war on cancer” has largely failed. There have been a few successes (childhood leukemia, testicular cancer and maybe a few others), but there is no “cure” in sight and one is likely just fanciful thinking. For the most part, cancer is a natural disease of aging and its complexities are simply beyond us. Government statistics can’t be trusted because of changes in detection and diagnoses. Unfortunate but true.

cancer is a natural occurrence … can’t be cured with external medicines … maybe boosted immune system treatments may someday help some overcome it … chasing a cure has been the biggest waste of resources in the history of humankind …
