  1. It was not Mark Steyn’s fault, both sides in the Senate Hearing on AGW – Data or Dogma ignored the same empirical fact: The Sun is the Creator & Sustainer of every atom, life and planet in the solar system !

The freshman student, Erin Miller, in the above photograph, presented irrefutable evidence: Our iron-rich Sun is heated by neutron repulsion in its pulsating, neutron-rich core, at the Sigma Xi Conference in Galveston, TX in 2004

  2. The AGW debate cannot be resolved if AGW doubters accept the same FALSE premise as AGW believers: The Sun is a steady heat source (H-fusion reactor), rather than the pulsating remains of a supernova that birthed the solar system five billion years (5 Ga) ago !

  3. Oliver: All stars are variable. Some vary periodically; others show secular variations. The questions are about the relative magnitude and time scales of the variations. Sol has a well-documented 11-year variation of a small fraction of a percent. Others have variations measured in milliseconds. Some vary energy output periodically by orders of magnitude.
None will remain steady for their entire lifetimes.

  4. The pulsar-centered Sun is known to undergo many cyclic changes that influence Earth’s climate besides the familiar cycles (11 year)

    1. The Hale – Nicholson (22 yrs)

    2. The Gleissberg (87 years)

    3. The De Vries (210 years)

These well-known causes of climate changes were not even mentioned in Senate Hearing:

  5. tadchem,

The Sun’s heartbeat (pulse) is about 1 hour and 40 minutes, according to the two papers cited in the paper on “Solar energy”

  6. tadchem,

The exact pulse of the Sun is precisely known. See references
