I saw this report from the Journal Pediatrics
CHILDREN victims of firearms. 7000 hospitalizations in 2009.
The Yale authors were just a little loose with the definition of children in order to pump up their numbers.
The authors included as children anyone up to age 20. This is the same thing junk scientist Art Kellerman MD did in his studies many years ago on child gun injuries that is still quoted by gun confiscators.
Art yelled that children are dying daily in large numbers from gun violence, but Art was cheating and “Art’s children” were mostly incorrigible street punks and gang thugs with colors and hand signs and crime and drug filled lifestyles, carrying big handguns, autos like Mac 10s and bad attitudes, speaking in a language best described as stupid.
On top of all those bad things, the thugs were and are terrible shots and often just filled the air with lead, leading to innocent bystander deaths.
Any fool knows that gun violence numbers are buffed up by the gangbanger crowd. They are a special problem.
Turn to page 3 in the liberal hymnal, firearm violence must be stopped–return guns to the Government for safe keeping and make life safer for gangbangers and other criminal types. Firearm violence will then be reduced to bad guys shooting innocents and good people.
When confronted by a robber or a rapist, cooperate and hope they don’t kill you.

That sounds like a study on the social cost of leftism.
