Would it shock you to think that American business saw an opportunity in the new light things?
Fred Upton is a whore for industry? Could that be?

You can buy “rough service” incandescent bulbs here; http://www.brightlights-inc.com/
Smetimes us healthcare providers happen to be present when good things happen, that’s why we do blinded randomized studies to determine efficacy.
I would like to put the spiritualists in a randomized, double blind study for benefits, but that’s so unnatural.
My name is williams elizabeth, i have been married for 5years now and about 9 months ago my husband started behaving strange. He started keeping late nights and suddenly he told me he was tired of me so we eventually broke up, i got confused and worried because i love him so much.I have look for several ways to get him back, but it didn’t work out,i narrated everything to a friend of mine who later directed me to a spell caster named dr ojokun,at first i felt reluctant because i thought i had lost him completely but dr ojokun assured me that he was going to bring my husband back to me. i asked if there was going to be any blood sacrifice and he said no,so I did all he told me to do,in 2days later i received a call from my husband that he wanted to see me and i told him to come over, 20 minutes later i heard the doorbell behold it was my husband,he fell on his knees crying and pleading for me to come back to the house. before now i never believed in miracles but now i know better. i am so so happy, thanks to dr ojokun. If you are having any problems in your life be it marital problems or sickness of any kind: email dr ojokun on ojokunspiritualtemple@gmail.com and i promise you that all your problems will be a thing of the past…
Home Depot recently had a big sale of incandescent bulbs.
Some of us stocked up…..good for a few years now.
It is still possible to legally purchase incandescent light bulbs. They are labeled for rough service, and are more expensive than the normal incandescent bulbs of a few years ago. However, they don’t have the hazards associated with CFL usage, breakage, and disposal, and they don’t have the environmental hazards associated with producing LED’s. They are also a little more forgiving when used in older houses or places where the electricity can pulse up or down. It is always good to have choices, and people can choose what kind of light source they want. What is a shame, is that prices have gone up on all types of light sources.
why is this a surprise to anyone?
Bring back leaded gas!
Financial backers of failing industries running to Washington are nothing new or surprising. They wouldn’t have had to ban old fashioned bulbs if anyone actually wanted the new ones. They wouldn’t have needed to evoke the Green marketing language if they actually had a superior product. There’s nothing more fair or democratic than free markets. Marketing can influence for a while, but eventually experience wins out. When the CFLs were new I tried them because saving money on electricity and bulb replacement appealed to me when I was poor. It only took one batch to realize that the claims were false.
Now I’m old enough to recognize the pattern. Anyone claiming their product is “green” has a product that is significantly lacking in some other aspect.
Mr. Upton was my representative until I left Michigan. I recently heard someone refer to her congressman as “J. Fred Muggs” and I immediately knew the part of Michigan she was from.
It’s interesting when the conservative knock on CFL’s has been against the enviro’s when the ban on incandescents was done by a Republican congress and signed by a Republican president.
Fluorescents have been around for a long time. My parents’ 1950 house had a circular fluorescent in the kitchen. Shop lights have long been relatively inexpensive, good lighting. I’ve used CFL’s for a long time. They have never lasted long enough in any house I’ve owned to justify their cost. LED’s are two expensive and, until recently, produce too little light to be practical in anything but limited applications.
What I really resent about this ban is denial of choice.
My light bulbs are part of my monthly grocery bill so with my limited fixed income it means to buy the new more expensive bulbs means i have less each month to spend on food. Thanks, environmentalists
