The Globe and Mail reports:
The twisted psychology behind climate change science does no favours for the scientists or anyone else convinced that burning carbon is warming the planet to life-threatening levels. The scarier the science, the wearier everyone becomes, to the point of fatigue. Ho-hum, another warning that our little blue orb is hurtling toward crispy bacon status; pass me a beer.
Darkness Induced Audience Apathy. This is a well know cinematic issue. You keep upping the ante and the audience no longer has the patience to deal with it anymore. If it’s all doom and gloom all the time, even in the face of notable and non-trivial improvements, it’s no longer frightening.

Maybe if the governments of the world didn’t sponsor all these scare studies we would start paying attention again, not a week goes buy where I don’t hear something like my kitchen spoons are killing me.
Now there is a cult of hyper leftist eco – nuts that seems to follow every one of these and has great angst about them all – but they represent a small (but amazing vocal) group. The rest of us have – after 40 years of this stuff, started to ignore it. Boy who cried Wolf syndrome.

The world has come to an end too many times, to be scary any more!
This is completely true. People who once may have been concerned, are now untrusting, and wary of being scammed again. We’ve been told once too many times, that the sky is falling!
