Senate global warming hearing backfires on Democrats

Skeptics and Roger Pielke Jr (whatever he is) totally dismantled warmism (scientifically, economically, rhetorically) at today’s Senate hearing — embarrassing Democrats who couldn’t run away fast enough. For best coverage, below are links to the JunkScience tweets:

  1. Senate Democrats prove climate deniers wrong again. Majority leader Harry Reid called the meeting to order as 28 of the 114 senators from all 57 states attended the all night session. After a brisk pillow fight senator Reid reminded members that wedges were not allowed since the Barney Frank incident a few years ago. Several members could be seen visibly shaken and sobbing at this unfortunate flashback. Soon things took a lighter tone as Sarah Palins children became the topic of every joke. Someone mentioned that if it was not for global warming and the ocean rise that Sarah could walk to Russia from her house. At this time Senator Hank Johnson reminded all that he saved Guam from tipping over in the ocean , he was not sure which ocean, but it was deep. And wet. Newly elected Senator from New Jersey Cory Booker arrived late. He reported he was stuck on some bridge all day but was able to bring photos of his very first car travelogue. He awed members as he relived his tour of all 57 states including Hawaii before the ocean rise. Some of his photos were blurry and he explained it was because he used Cruz control , at that time thanking and acknowledging the absent Senator from Texas. It was a long night and everyone was assured that numbers are very important and should be used when explaining climate change. Along with the letters “GHG” and the word “Vortex”. The members voted into the record that 120% of all scientist agreed that man made “the global warming issue” After hearing about this Kim Jung-Un immediately updated his winning margin to 120% Members soon began to fall asleep when someone asked “has anyone seen Barack lately?” It was a good day and the people were glad to give them all their money.. Dennis Rodman wept.

  2. Steve: Please make a concise abstract of the main points! It would be worth gold to have it around.

  3. Perhaps Dr. Pielke Jr. is simply objective and not advocating anything but science. A bit like Mr. Lumborg.
