  1. This has nothing to do with transparency but just a comment about EPA and their endless regs. I bought a John Deere string trimmer and there are no instructions printed on the unit such as fuel/oil ratio, starting and running instructions. You have to look all of that up in the owner’s manual. But it is covered with EPA metal tags and stickers listing all of the most detailed emission’s information. You would need a degree to even know what they are talking about (if they even know). Any practical information that would help you operate the unit in an environmentally responsible way is not there, but only gobbeldy gook to show everyone “How smart we are!”
