Warmists try blocking former New Mexico Guv from university presidency because of skepticism, sound science advocacy

“Four Las Cruces state representatives have ‘serious reservations’ about New Mexico State University presidential candidate Garrey Carruthers due to his work for a tobacco-backed group and his climate change views.”

The Sun-News reports:

“It would seem to me that Mr. Carruthers, on a personal level, isn’t convinced of climate change,” Steinborn said. “It raises really serious questions that have to be asked regarding the posture the university would take and offer and not offer regarding climate change.”
