It is not true. Number is derived from comparing ice core bubbles, a questionable proxy for actual levels, to contemporary measures at Mauna Loa, also a questionable proxy for entire earth atmosphere at various altitudes.
Why isn’t this a bigger story? Because it fricking doesn’t matter.
