NRDC demands DC Examiner retract column on EPA sue-and-settle; Ever heard of alar?

NRDC attorney John Walke tweeted:

Bute we’re still waiting (since February 27, 1989) for NRDC to retract the falsehoods in its scare over the plant growth regulator alar. We can’t even get past the first sentence in the report:

Our nation’s children are being harmed by the very fruits and vegetables we tell them will make them grow up healthy and strong.

John, wake us when you retract that and the rest of the false-alarm alar scare.

  1. The hypocrisy is strong in this one, as it is in all of this kind (imagine Darth Vader hee-hoo breathing).
Another point is that the EPA does actually seem to have a pattern of getting itself sued to do what it wants to do anyway, then rolling over. I dunno if the editorial supports its position well or poorly but I recall the EPA litigation pattern well.
