  1. The writer Jostein Gaarder is behind the prize. He did make a lot of money on his book Sophie’s World.
    He has also for a long time been deeply involved with the WWF.

    So I agree: Bill gets the prize for promoting immensely powerful interests! (Radical Environmentalists)

  2. What a waste of $100,000. I would think McKibben should be in line for the Darwin Award. With all the warming he says is happening, he will be dead soon.

  3. Picking Bill McKibben was a real ‘Sophie’s Choice’ and similarly appears to have consequences that will doom Sophie.
