Why would anyone have confidence in wind and solar as investments? They continue to operate under current technology only because their rent-seekers have been effective.
There are uses for each, but they are niches. Check out YouTube video of the Helios solar aircraft.
OTOH Brits who are trying to hold back the ongoing cold would really like the lower energy bills. Matters not to the Malthusian enviros, I’m sure.
