Warmists laugh at Congressman Joe Barton for citing biblical flood as climate-related: Do they also snicker at Katharine Hayhoe and other evangelical allies?

Does the Left laugh at evangelical warmists as useful idiots?

At today’s Keystone XL hearing before the Energy and Power Subcommittee, Congressman Joe Barton (R-Tex.) said:

I would point out that if you are a believer in the Bible, one would have to say the great flood was an example of climate change.

Warmists and the Left, generally, have been chuckling all day at Barton. Michael Mann, for example, tweeted:

But Mann friend and fellow warmist Katharine Hayhoe, for example, is a self-described evangelical Christian who is married to an evangelical pastor. The first sentence in the statement of faith for the husband’s “Bible church” is:

We believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God and without mistakes as originally written.

Sounds a lot like Joe Barton, huh? Do they laugh at Katharine Hayhoe, too?

  1. Sounds like Ms. Hayhoe needs to be better instructed in the doctrine of biblical authority, which is something most evangelical churches seem to have forgotten in the last fifty years. Where is John Whitcomb and Henry Morris when you need them?
