Ms. McCarthy is exactly the kind of person Obama would select. “Personnel is policy” and he wants to promote a capable (if misguided) bureaucrat who believes in the same things he believes in. If I believed as they do, I’d welcome this appointment. Since I think they are miles wrong, I am appalled but hardly surprised.
The collusion of environmentalists and the EPA mirrors corporatist action in other agencies and that’s the biggest reason for reducing government’s role in the economy.
