The environmental elite have made it so over the past 40 years. My career of about 40 years has been involved with designing lest polluting processes, making chemicals that were used to reduce pollution, cleaning up other folks’ mess and, now in “renewable energy.” If you were to call me an environmentalist I would consider that a grievous insult.
The scoundrels have desensitised the public to real environmental concerns. “Environmental” is now a dirty word.
