I am sure that any Cabinet candidate who appeals to Obama will look pretty fishy to me. That said, any candidate should start with a respectful reception even if it’s also skeptical. Save the savaging until the person demonstrates that it’s deserved.
That alone would distinguish Republicans from Democrats.
