India is only 65% electrified and more poorer than the US, which is also not taking to EVs.

    I would think that India might have some good niches for electric vehicles or compressed-air; I know there were some experiments in that direction. For the nation as a whole, electric vehicles may have a low practical value at this point.
    I’d have thought that hybrids would make excellent taxis and urban delivery cars for florists, pizza crews and so on — but it seems not.
