“In weather, we make forecasts that are tested DAILY…
…and we certainly can see how the other guy says what he says. In the climate fight, apparently no forecast is ever tested and policy will be implemented even when it’s wrong.”

“In the climate fight, apparently no forecast is ever tested and policy will be implemented even when it’s wrong.”
There’s the crux of the problem. “Climate” became the excuse for massive command economy policies and thus became a “fight”. If people were discussing the range of possible weather events and how to adapt to them, we’d be much better off. Instead, it’s become the “angelic” vs the “demonic”.
Since the policies of the angelic include constraint, hunger, disease and death for the poorest people in the world, with no discernible benefit for anyone, I’ll sign up with the demons.
Mark Twain was right. Climate is what you expect. Weather is what you get.
