  1. I remember the thrill Americans experience when the Salk vaccine was proved effective. According to Bill Gates there are fewer that 1,000 polio cases in the world today. What a miracle.

    I had a similar thrill when I read of golden rice. It is fantastic the good that would be done by its use. The anti-GM folks like the Europeans and American activists make me sick.
