All this means is that McDonald’s is paying the enviros to leave it alone.
“Packaging for all fish dishes at McDonald’s 14,000 U.S. locations will be marked with the blue ecolabel of the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), an independent nonprofit organization that sets standards for sustainable fishing based on fish stock health, impacts of the fishery on its ecosystem and the fishery’s management system.”
Wherever those square fish are from, there must be lots of them.
“All this means is that McDonald’s is paying the enviros to leave it alone.” Which they won’t.
Food companies should not keep capitulating to environmentalists, but instead, educate their customers. All seafood purchased legally in this country is already harvested sustainably. These eco-labels are scams and another way to control what people eat and for them to pay more for the privilege of appearing politically correct.
