What possible relevance does his apology have? The problem is not that he says these things, but that he clearly believes that such an unjust method of regulation is appropriate. He should be fired, immediately.
No more Romans then…next time, he’ll move onto the Middle Ages, and replace “crucifixion” with “hanging, drawing and quartering”.
