Read “Two Years Before The Mast” where the author writes about weather conditions along the West Coast of California during the 1850’s. There were frequent violent storms that suddenly came to an end around the 1870’s. What caused that climate to change?!!
I once saw a photograph taken from an old aircraft flying over Galcier Park around 1916 or so and noticed glaciers back then far larger than the ones I saw flying in that area in 1992. Mountain men during the mid 1800’s noticed glaciers retreating back then. The earth is still coming out of the last ice age. Thank goodness because that means people can grow more food and use less energy.
