As the acrimony intensifies between Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich’s campaigns, the former Pennsylvania senator on Wednesday poked fun at the former speaker for playing nice with Nancy Pelosi.
“The only person I ever sat on a couch with is my wife,” Santorum said, referring to the Climate Change television ad Gingrich taped with the House Democratic leader.
Making a serious moment out of the zinger, Santorum said the decision to sit with Pelosi “matters.”
“Judgment matters. When the winds are blowing what we’ve seen is (Mitt) Romney and Gingrich, they put their sails up and go,” Santorum said…
