Light bulb over-reach makes the SOTU response.
Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels said in response to Obama’s State of the Union address:
In word and deed, the President and his allies tell us that we just cannot handle ourselves in this complex, perilous world without their benevolent protection. Left to ourselves, we might pick the wrong health insurance, the wrong mortgage, the wrong school for our kids; why, unless they stop us, we might pick the wrong light bulb!
Apparently, some Americans *were* too stupid to pick the right light bulb (or at least too stupid to add a constitutional amendment guaranteeing the right to select the inefficient light bulb of their choice). What were we thinking? We should have protected ourselves from this assault on our freedumb.
Mr. Jone’s, well said
As I have told many people; You voted him in in ’08 to show that you are not racist. Vote him out in ’12 to show that you are not stupid.
We picked the wrong president so no wonder we can’t pick the right light bulb. BUT that was Bush, not Obama!
