Though “Finding Nemo” was just a movie, it has captured the imagination of the United Nations Agenda 21 crowd.
Today’s Washington Post features a story about a new study in Conseravtion Letters claiming to show that many of the species featured in the Disney movie “Finding Nemo” are threatened with extinction.
But the study researchers conducted no original research other than comparing the species depicted in the movie with past determinations made by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, a deep green advocacy group.
Moreover, the research team’s leader, Simon Fraser University’s Nicholas Dulvy, is an IUCN official.
The IUCN is also a supporter of the UN’s Agenda 21 — an international effort to dramatically restrict land use and development of natural resources, and to advance global governance.
