GrowthBusters: Greens Against Prosperity

The only way out of the current economic crisis is growth. Naturally, the green are against it and, naturally, they have a movie to push their point of view.

The trailer for GrowthBusters: Hooked on Growth is below.

Steve Milloy first spotlighted the anti-growth movement three years ago in his FoxNews.com column, “Greens Aim to Take Us Forward to the Past” and then later in his Amazon.com best-selling book “Green Hell: How Environmentalists Plan to Control Your Life and What You Can Do to Stop Them” (Regnery 2009).

  1. Do the maths. growth is unsustainable. Economic growth requires slave labour. Economic growth goes hand in hand with growth in the poverty, number of people in prisons, destruction of food growing land, etc. The only positive argument for growth is that it increases the personel wealth of a few. Enslaving the many. Dave Gardner is right. there is no prosperity in a dead planet.

  2. Economic growth has brought us to the present level,by destroying natures
oceans, forrests, animals, fish, rivers and lands. It is about time the believers in growth come crawling out from under the rock they have been living under for the last 50 years and joyn the real world.
