The Treasury Department released today the unredacted documents related to CEI’s recent FOIA request.
The office that created these docs was created by former Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson, whose nomination we opposed since it was obvious that he would use his position to advance the global warming ball for the greens.
As it turns out, good ol’ Hank may have sowed the seeds of cap-and-trade’s destruction.
WOW!! Should these costs be passed along to the public (as undoubtedly most will), you are talking about $3,000 per family per year. No wonder the Obama administration is zipper-lipped about this and the alarmists in full deployment to confuse, cloud, and downplay this fact.
This is political suicide for the democrats either way. Suggesting it with full disclosure of the costs will kill it imediately. And misleading Americans with lofty promises and lies only works until the first payment comes due. Apres ca, le deluge!
It is a shame that our leaders, with their defecit spending, and utter lack of fiscal accountability give no consideration to what these costs will do to the average American household budget. Rather, they’re willing to send half of middle America to the poorhouse with legislation that will enrich and empower them and their pet interests, at the expense of the American economy. Is this really “Change we can believe in”? Getting your dick cut off is “Change” too. Guess you gotta be careful what you wish for. You just might get it…
