According to Anthony Watt, the Dems don’t haver the votes to pass this abomination. None the less I just sent this email to my congress critter, Jason Altmire. I advise all to go and do likewise with theirs.
As a constituent and registered Democrat, I urge you to vote “NO” on H.R. 2454, the Waxman-Markey Clean Energy and Security Act.
Not only will this dangerous legislation do nothing to improve the environment, but it will also cripple our national and local economies.
1. Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant, even the EPA knows this and has recently been discovered to have quashed public comment and its own internal studies saying so.
2. There is no climate crisis. Alarmist temperature increase estimates are based on gerrymandered “models” that have failed every predictive test and are further biased by unreliable measurement systems. Arctic and Antarctic ice is not disappearing, global temperatures are falling not rising, and the sun is in its most quiet stage since 1913.
3. Lastly, based on Congressional Budget Office and Energy Information Administration date, The Waxman Markey Cap and Trade requirements would–conservatively–cost individual Pennsylvanian voters $636.7 million within two years.
I would be more than happy to send you citations/reports detailing my points, should you so desire.
Again, please vote “NO” on Waxman-Markey.
