It’s a good thing the EPA wasn’t around when man discovered fire.

Studying the potential health hazards of nanotechnology will require an additional $24 million a year to close the knowledge gap about the tiny particles used in a fast-growing array of consumer products, the National Research Council (NRC) said on Wednesday.
A new federal oversight agency is also required to integrate research by private business, universities and international, the non-profit research council said in a study sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Nanotechnology involves designing and manufacturing materials on the scale of one-billionth of a meter. It is used in areas ranging from stain-resistant clothing and cosmetics to food additives.
Bottomline: EPA pays the National Research Council to say that nanotech is scary and that EPA should be more involved.
Not long ago, the gang-greens promised that nanotech would get the agricultural biotech treatment.
They need 24 Mil for more jobs.
Remember, it ain’t safe unless the goverment says it’s safe.
But they accept no liability if they are wrong.
