I don’t know what facts Politifact checked with respect to Kleinman and Thomas, but here is the reality.

Thomas Kleinman has been associated with EPA grants worth $18,250,432. Here are the EPA records:

Duncan Thomas has been associated with EPA grants worth $9,165,549. Here is the EPA record:

Sorry Politifact, but the total of $27,415,981 to Kleinman and Thomas is a lot more than the mere $24,357 you cite.

Additionally, Politifact failed to mentioned the ongoing connection between Kleinman and EPA (Kleinman serves on the EPA CASAC PM subpanel).

That’s a fact check.
