This excerpt is misleading. Senator Kennedy went on to ask “how much will it cost?” (50 Trillion dollars) and “how much reduction in global temperature will that expense achieve?” (The government official was unable to directly state an outcome — or even make a guess). This was a very successful attack on the credibility of the “green new deal” proponents and on the “global warming” alarmism as well.
Too bad that’s the headline.
It seems to me that Senator Kennedy is speaking tongue-in-cheek here. The grilling he gives his victim makes it obvious he does not think carbon neutrality is anything but a pipe dream.
Just another professional grifter. He has undoubtedly convinced his voters that there will be little or no pain from zero carbon. It’s mostly because we graduate dummies that have never read science method, had a distrust of “experts”, and are ignorant of the long, long history of lying politicians.
