German Chancellor decries “mathematical models that don’t work”

An academic has published a paper which uses mathematical models to show that it would be feasible for Germany to wean itself from Russian coal, oil and gas. This story is not about that paper. Rather, it’s about Germany Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s curious response.

Here is the key section of the Washington Post report:

I agree with Scholz. Why pay attention to mathematical models that don’t work… like the 95% of climate models that don’t agree with global temperature reality:

    One of several shortcomings of currently available climate models is that they convey nil information gain to a public official about the conditional outcomes of the events of the future for Earth’s climate system prcluding regulation of this system by this official.
