Now that communists are back in charge of EPA, the Communist China-owned Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health is back to its old PM body count tricks. Here’s what you need to know.
First and always… there is no biological plausibility to the claim that particulate matter (PM) has killed anyone, anywhere at anytime. The details for this are in my book “Scare Pollution: Why and How to Fix the EPA.”
Second — past that PM doesn’t kill, and the crappy data and bogus statistical analysis at work — it is entirely inappropriate, if not just fraud, to estimate body counts from epidemiological associations. Epidemiology is used to help draw cause-and-effect relationships. It’s not a tool for estimating risk or attributing deaths.
Finally, this study is so silly, it actually suggests that PM saves lives in Asia and Africa. Note the study table below. The lower bounds of the highlighted confidences interval extend into negative territory… meaning that, statistically speaking, PM cannot be ruled out as a life-saver.
