Pakistan’s cotton crop damaged by ‘climate change’… or just weather?

Today’s climate lying comes from this Reuters story:

But Pakistan’s cotton crop was wiped out by heavy rains in 1992 — about 50 ppm CO2 ago. As reported by the San Francisco Examiner on September 18, 1992:

So which cotton crop disaster, if either, was caused by ‘climate change’?

If the first, then what’s the ‘climate change’ since 1992?

If the second, then how is the 1992 disaster explained?
