  1. There is nothing in the treaty or in any policy I have seen that actually helps them achieve their intended goals anyway. Pollution reduction is one thing, simply shuffling money around into the pockets of a few through a religion is another.

  2. When other countries also exit the EU then Germany’s export economy will collapse and it will no longer be able to subsidize its renewable energy industry. Energy prices will spike and other countries will once again start using cheaper fossil fuels in order to compete. This will undermine the Paris treaty.

  3. The phrase “would require recalibration” means that they won’t be able to bill the UK for expenses in the event is ever does get ‘ratified’. Other participants will realize that their share of the costs will be increasing substantially, and they may also back out.
