From the NYTimes:
Go, Mr. MURRAY! We support you. It is unconscionable that the U.S. government (or any government) would enact a “plan” so as to destroy any industry within its borders! No natural resource has ever been totally “used up” by man completely. When the supply gets lower and lower, the Free Market naturally has an important hand, through pricing and other signals, that cause a cheaper and more efficient resource to come into the market! This happens naturally. It does not need “pushing” from the government in order to happen! Shame on our Federal Government for interfering in the normal and natural workings of the Free Market. Coal is doing NO ONE any harm. It is not destructive. It should be used as long as it lasts, and until it has been naturally replaced by an alternative.
